• Like so many Francophiles I too have fallen under the spell of all things French.Le Havre is my expression of a lifelong passion for beautiful antiques and one off pieces from around the world, carefully selected and rejuvenated to blend with our modern society.

Finding these covetable pieces is my love, just as our homes are a reflection of us, never quite perfect, always improving and changing, I strongly believe that the store is a reflection of my sense of style.

“Essentially French and Distictively different Interiors” brings you handsourced, exquisite one off pieces, from the flea markets of France, the Souks of Morocco and stunningly handcrafted pieces from Fiji.

  • I regularly travel to find  these  handmade, one off pieces which bring a timeless charm to your home, and only those objects I believe are the best of their type make it to le Havre.

  • “Dare to be Different”

You will find Le Havre Collections on the wharf in Mapua situated in two old historic apple coolstores, when you walk around the corner, you are immediately transported to another place, with the bright red geraniums in the planter boxes, shutters, red tiles and the two dogs meeting and greeting you at the door.

Like so many Francophiles out there I too have always been obsessed with collecting anything French while living and working in Europe many years ago, the lifestyle, the markets, French Brocantes… I love the hunt for eclectic one of a kind pieces of furniture, artifacts and architectural elements and then “marry” them altogether to create the look that the French are so good at…SIMPLE, STYLISH AND ELEGANT

  • The love affair came to fruition when four years ago I stumbled across the old derelect apple sheds, knowing that they would be the perfect place to house my eclectic treasures.

So with a very practical husband Graeme with the “do it yourself” mentality Le Havre Collections finally came about…

After several buying trips and several containers from Morocco and Fiji I decided that France had to be the next port of call.

I found Arlette, my French antique buyer and am now waiting for my first container to arrive from all over France filled to the gunnels with Amoires, mirrors, tables, shutters and all things beautiful to make your house a home. read more…
